finally the ebenezer is on the way!!!

here they are ... finally! within about 3 minutes of this posting i'll be en route to the postmaster to let the usps do their thing. this took longer that i had hoped. you'd think doing things digitally it would take less time, but the time gets ground up in other aspects. there's some 1,200 images from my eye and another 200 from others that shared while we there. still can't believe we drove to the airport...got on a plane...drove to the mountains and just had fun. ebenezer's are important things...like a memorial of the help received on the occasion from God (1 Sam. 7:7-12), which happened out west sort of too. for me one of the things that stands out clearly from the time at spring canyon is the heart of those that served us. they had incredible hearts and led directly from them. here's just a few pictures of those servants. in the midst of their ministry to us there was real joy in their journey. personally i had some great conversations with one of our guides, lee about theology and the nature of the church. great stuff. Posted by Picasa

missing the witness of the mountains

this was the view looking north over our base camp in spring canyon. the moon was incredible every night. simply beautiful. Psalm 72:1-8
Give the gift of wise rule to the king, O God, the gift of just rule to the crown prince. May he judge your people rightly, be honorable to your meek and lowly.

Let the mountains give exuberant witness; shape the hills with the contours of right living. Please stand up for the poor, help the children of the needy, come down hard on the cruel tyrants.
Outlast the sun, outlive the moon— age after age after age. Be rainfall on cut grass, earth-refreshing rain showers. Let righteousness burst into blossom and peace abound until the moon fades to nothing. Rule from sea to sea, from the River to the Rim. Posted by Picasa
